Review:
As of late I have honestly found it so hard to get stuck into a book but this one took me by surprise. Generally I tend to stay away from the Historic genre as it's just not my cup of tea but i'd been hearing people rave about this and decided to give it a shot. Boy was it worth it. I think the thing I usually have a problem with is the writing as it tends to sway to an old fashioned tonne which I don't like but this wonderful masterpiece made me forget what time it was actually set in. The world building is phenomenal and I could not put this down.  The writing flowed nicely and I found there was rarely a dull moment to be found.

My favourite scenes were the ones with Audrey and Thomas, the banter between the two of them was on point and I was constantly giggling to myself. I am sure I sounded like a mad woman haha. I loved how Kerri interwove true historical facts about Jack the Ripper into the story it made it feel all the more real. Audrey's character is one I have to say is now in my top 5 female characters. She is strong and independent, never did I feel like she was needy or annoying like many lead characters I could name. When Audrey's father told her that she could no longer be her Uncle's apprentice, I admired that she refused to listen to society telling her how to be and instead followed her passion even if that meant disobeying her father. I can't wait to follow on with Audrey's story as it is obviously far from finished. You might be reading this trying to figure out "who is jack the ripper?" well you'll just have to read the book and find out. Seriously go pick it up!!

Review:
This is my second time reading this wonderful masterpiece and once again I was captured right from the start. Sarah's world building is on point, I am always left with a clear image in my mind... and boy do I wish I lived in this world haha. One character in particular that I love is Lucien, he is down right hilarious and I found myself constantly laughing. I think that's something super important in a book, it can make you laugh but not just in your head but out loud. This book is the kind that you want to read in one sitting. ACOTAR has a bit of everything, its got action, romance, suspense, mystery. What more do you need? 
If I had to say anything bad about this book it would be that in certain scenes Feyre would talk about Tamlin and how "gorgeous" he is and his muscles. It just got a bit excessive and yeah I get he's attractive he's high fae but learn when to stop haha. 

This is a book that I highly recommend, I actually enjoyed it a lot more that throne of glass dare I say. Even if your not that big into fantasy and love romance, pick this up because once you start reading you wont be able to stop and let me tell you. A Court Of Mist And Fury is even more phenomenal.

Review:
The Road to winter was a well paced and fun read. It didn't take long to read at all. This book gave me a lot of Tomorrow when the war began by John Marsden vibes but was also different in so many ways which is awesome because there are some books i've read and you really have to think if you've already read the book as it sounds so familiar. One thing you should take into consideration if you decided to read this, it is apart of a series which I didn't realise until I had almost finished the book, oops.  If you are someone who enjoys a good post-apocolyptic read then this one is for you or maybe you've never ventured into this kind of genre before and must say it's a good place to start!

Now to go into a bit more detail. In the book it talks about this virus that has killed so many people, it's been 2 years. So where is the Aid? Is nobody going to help them out, and what caused the virus in the first place. So many questions. Rose seemed to use Finn a lot and she never seemed to tell him the full story.

 Rose's character for the most part got on my nerves, I can't fully explain it but one of the main things that irked me was when she would call Finn "Dog Boy". I would hate someone giving me a name like that. 
Something that I didn't pick up on and honestly I don't know how I didn't was Rose being pregnant. It was basically spelled out for me to but I just didn't see the signs.

I quite liked our main character Finn, he didn't make to many rash decisions and he was quite mature for his age. He knew how to look after himself and he didn't let his situation get the best of him. I also really liked to read Kas' character, I never saw her as a damsel. She could take care of herself, Kas was pretty awesome. 

Two big question I hope will get answered in the next book is Will Willow get reunited with her Parents? Are they dead? Also how in the world are they going to get Rose's baby back? 

Overall I quite enjoyed this and I will definitely look out for the next installment.

Review:
I really enjoyed the writing as it was super easy to get into and I rarely found myself wishing the pace would speed up because majority of the time it was awesome. The world building was also really well done. It made me feel as though I was actually there, I couldn't imagine it in my head so early. Something that I really enjoyed was that the main character Charlie struggled with panic attacks and she wasn't very good with social situations which I think was executed well. It was awesome to see Charlie's character grow and change into a more confident woman. Though there were times were I got annoyed with her character as she made a few rash decisions and was so fixated on being the hero that it got her into trouble. 

Also on a random note.. At the start of the novel it mentioned how Charlie had 3 birthmarks behind her ear but then I don't remember it mentioning anything else about it through out the novel. Perhaps that will be explained in the next novel? Like why she is the opal. 

One thing that I look for in a novel is an unexpected ending and T.L. Martin certainly delivered. The twist will definitely take you by surprise. I will definitely be looking out for the next instalment :) 

If you love paranormal mixed with a bit of romance then this one is for you :)

Review:  
*There are a couple of spoilers in this review so if you have not read Red Queen or Glass Sword I suggest you don't read this and come back once you have :) 

So when I started this, I could not remember for the life of me what happened in the first book Red Queen .... oops. So I will admit that it was a bit hard to get into this one which was really frustrating because I quite liked the first one. I think it was about 150ish pages in that I really started getting back into it. I certainly got more invested in the story as I remembered things. Mare was A bit annoying at times, some of the choices she made were not always the best and she can become a bit whiny.

 I love Cal, there is just something about his character that makes me swoon haha, though there was one point where I was like seriously Cal why would you not comfort Mare after Shade's death, she needed you! There were definitely some intense scenes thrown in there that had me on the edge of my seat. I was honestly quite shocked that Shade died, he got brought back at the end of Red Queen only to be killed. That just seemed so unfair! There is this one line on the end of page 250 "If I am a sword, I am a sword made of glass, and I feel myself beginning to shatter" I just love the sound of that and I have a feeling that this line inspired the title of the book. After finish Glass Sword I can still say I really hate Maven with a passion, he is so awful I can't stand him but I guess thats what makes him the perfect villain, he is truly evil even though he "tries" to hide it from his people.

One thing that is constantly brought up is Mare's lack of trust, it frustrated me a bit because not everyone is out to get her honestly I felt she need to grow up at times and pull on her big girl pants. Another Character that I started to love was Shade, he was not in the first book very much and we get to see a lot more of him in this book which was awesome. I do hope in the next book we will get to see more of Mare's other brothers. Also the way this ended makes me wonder what the fate Mare will have. Having her chained like a dog my goodness I wanted to punch Maven right in the face. Hard. I will definitely be re-reading Red Queen and Glass Sword again before the release of the 3rd book in Feb next year. 

Overall: I liked this one, I can't say I liked it as much as Red Queen but I enjoyed it. I would still recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy as the good outweighs anything negative and it doesn't help that at the start of the books I wasn't really into it. :)

When I first read the synopsis for this book I really like the idea of Peter Pan type world. I guess that's what really pulled me in.One thing I like about this was that the story was interwoven with the modern world which made it more realistic and put a different spin the fairy-tale.  The start of the story Livy is very focused on her sisters death and it kind of consumes her to the point where its taken over her life. Then in comes Meyer who is adventurous and daring, he helps Livy heal. I found that the start of the novel was quite hard to actually get into because I felt as though the writing but it definitely got better as the story continued. I can't say that I fully enjoyed it because I didn't. The first half just felt a bit repetitive and it dragged on a bit but once Never land was introduced I started to enjoy it.

Overall: For the most part of the novel I enjoyed it and I think that any peter pan fans out there would enjoy this retelling of an original tale.

Review:This cover is so cool! I picked up this book at my local bookstore and didn't realise until the end of the book that the author is a fellow New Zealander :D
This book draws you in from the start. The main character Evie doesn't need a Hero because she is her own hero. At the start she is lost, her mother has just died and she feels as though her world is falling apart but suddenly she starts having odd changes. I like that the story always had something happening, there were not many scenes where there wasn't something exciting. The end was a major plot twist that I was not expecting which I loved because it is not often in a book where you didn't predict the outcome, because lets be honest a lot of books now days can be predictable. The writing was well done but my only complaint would be the information overload as it took a while to sink it all in.

Overall:If you're looking for a good sci-fi with a great plot twist that you will not see coming then this is for you. I am anticipating the next book and will be counting down the days till its release.

Review: SPOILERS ALERT
If you have not read The Selection or The Elite then I recommend you read them and come back so that you do not get spoiled :)This is one of those series where the main character is really frustrating at times but there is just something about the books that keep you coming back for more. Throughout this series America has been very annoying with her decisions and more than anything in this book. She could have just told Maxon that she loved him and it would have been all over but instead she plays games ugh. I was quite surprised to find out that America's dad was a Northern rebel and that the Northern rebels wanted to work with Maxon and America to take away the casts. When she goes home for her fathers funeral I get really frustrated with Kota, he so rude. I also got very annoyed that America didn't tell Maxon about Aspen, that was obviously what was going to cause problems. I did wish that there was a chapter or two of America as Queen but all in all I am happy with how it ended :)

Overall:
If you like dystopians, I do recommend you read this, you may get a bit frustrated with America but there is something still that is intriguing and addictive & it will leave you satisfied :)

Review:
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review, Thank you Jordan! I really appreciate it! :)This books had a very different vibe from most of the dystopian novels that I have read, in this world they believe that there are no boys, that they all died out with a disease. I found that really intriguing and unique. I think that some of the story was a bit fast paced and  I liked how even though they had these feelings about each other the book wasn't all about the romance, it was just a little part of it. I quite enjoyed this and I thought that the world building was really good because I could imagine it all quite clearly in my head. I was really surprised to find out the matriarch's secret and it made me wonder if that was the reason for being so cold hearted.

I have never read anything like this and I am so glad to have had the opportunity to read this. I loved that the story was told in both perspectives of Mary and Taylor, I think that it worked really well. I also really like the cover, and I just found out that Jordan Locke designed it herself, how cool!

Overall: I recommend this to anyone who loves the YA Dystopian genre and is looking for something a bit different to your normal Dystopian.

Review:Like I said in my Shatter Me Review, how amazing is this cover, I can't express how good they look!! Not only is the cover fabulous, the content inside is just as good. Tahereh Mafi has such a unique writing style and I love the way that she describes things. I have to admit that I didn't like Warner so much in Shatter Me but after reading Unravel Me I can't help but like him. You see another side of him that you didn't get to see in Shatter Me.
There were many intense moments through out the novel and I felt like I enjoyed this a even more that Shatter Me. I swear at one point in the book my jaw literally dropped. Also Juliette really developed throughout the story, she starts to realise she has to embrace who she is and she really grows. At some points I would get really annoyed with her decisions but I think that was important because it showed her character really change as a person.

The ending was pretty intense and do not worry I am not going to give any spoilers. I just really need to get my hands on Ignite Me!! I honestly have no idea what is going to happen next and I cannot wait to find out.

Overall:I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good YA, dystopian. You will not regret buying it, the writing is incredible and you will not be able to put it down and if you have not read Shatter Me you should definitely go and get it now... like right now haha :)

Review:

Let me just start of with how beautiful this book cover is, like oh my goodness. So I had heard so many good things about this book and I've had it on my tbr pile for quite some time so I decided to pick it up and I am so glad that I did. The way that Tahereh Mafi presents her world to you is so beautiful, the world building made me feel as though I was actually there. At the start of the novel I could almost feel Juliette's aloneness (is that even a word haha?) not having uttered a single word for so long and finally having someone to talk to. That someone being Adam. After that first night together, I kind of thought he was a bit of a dick but that was soon forgotten when he became so sweet towards Juliette.

When we first meet Warner I instantly do not like him, not only did he kill without a second thought, he kept Juliette like a prisoner/trophy not like a person with feelings. He was merciless but I think there could be some part of him that's good. Adam's brother James seemed so sweet and I couldn't help but wonder if he was like Adam immune to Juliette's touch. On that note I felt bad for Juliette because before Adam she had nobody, no one cared for her, her own parents sent her to The Reestablishment without a second glance and I couldn't imagine how alone she must have felt.

Overall:

I recommend this to everyone. If you love young adult, romance and dystopian novels this books is for you! The writing style is so unique and poetic and I haven't read anything like it. I will definitely be purchasing this in a physical copy to re-read.

Review:
First of all let me just say, I really love this cover! It's so pretty, the water dress looks amazing!
So I wasn't really sure what to expect when I saw that Lauren Kate had a new series coming out because I enjoyed the first fallen novel but as the series went on it was not as good as I thought it would be, so when I picked this up I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not.

Turns out I liked quite a bit and I found it was written a lot better, it was very different from everything that I have read. I absolutely loved the scene when Eureka meets Ander for the first time, it was too cute! I thought it was really funny that when Eureka went on Brooks boat with the twins, it said it was called Ariel which made me think of the little mermaid hahaha.

Overall:
There were a few unanswered question so I can't wait to read the next installment and find out what Is going to happen. If you have yet to read this then I suggest you do because its really good, I mean it had its flaws but because I liked the story so much it overrode that. I recommend this for anyone who likes a good ya paranormal romance that has a unique story.
